  1. Home is your Ummah. We should be able to consider any Muslim country home (ideally). The feeling of connection to everyone around you is the type of home you can take with you, yet never lose. If we had the same powerful connection Islam has raised between every Muslim of old, then you would feel comfortable and happy no matter which corner of the Muslim earth you reside.

Of course, the world has changed… and it is no longer in the hands of people who want anyone to feel home. Our own “countries” work as hard as they can to make you feel like a foreigner. Between Muslims. Sometimes of your own flesh and blood.

It took me 2 weeks to move my iqama and kafaleh. 2 weeks of standing at the jawazat’s ugly door at 7 am. Every frikkin day. How am I supposed to feel home? How am I supposed to feel that the “muslims” around me are brothers?

If you would have asked this question about 1400 years ago, people would have laughed at its simplicity. The answer would have been “Home is wherever your family (ummah) is”

Today the answer is equally as simple, yet far harder to accomplish. Make your own home. Nurture brotherhood and love around you, and you’ll never want to leave what you’ve built.

Hopefully a good answer to a beautiful poem 🙂

BTW, my friend is currently watching a vid on Youtube next to me showing the new levels of iman, brotherhood, and strength we as an Ummah have reached… displayed by our beloved Algerian/Egyptian soccer fanatics.

    *sighs*

  2. Muhannad:

Sadly enough, the hearts is not really anywhere .. and as i said and u said .. the place where u were raised is not counted, cuz u r not very welcome there.(if u know what i mean), thanks

  3. home is where the heart is 😛
i honestly dont know where home is any longer…the place u were raised in/lived @ for most of ur life deserves that title, but the fact that you have no rights/may be requested to leave whenever “they” feel like it kinda makes it not home..so yea…bleh

  5. thanks for the comment, I agree with most of it,
but what if the place that you are raised and you lived in disowns you?

I am still thinking btw, so hope i will get an answer soon , hehe

    Regards

  6. That’s nice
I think your home town shouldn’t be just your nationality
it’s also the town you were raised in and lived in
this place no matter how long you left it you still think of it as home
You still miss it and love being there or even a place where there is someone special to you lives there
    That’s what i think.
Sorry for talking a lot he he baka me ^_^
